What happens to people who do not want to conform to the way we have been taught to understand gender? Especially for people who live outside the urban centres (where society is more broad minded and accepting). What is it like to be a more gender fluid character living in a rural or semi-rural situation?
These digitally constructed images portray individuals living just such a life. Using digital codes, Limbo have embedded the words of each subject into their image creating a new type of portraiture that asks the viewer to consider identity from a new perspective.
